Located 88 km from Hobart, Lawrenny Estate Distillery is a natural stop for travellers exploring Tasmania by car. Set on a historic farming estate in the Central Highlands, the cellar door sits alongside the paddocks where our Estate-grown barley is grown and the distillery where our Single Malt Whisky is made.
Visitors arrive by driving through the Estate, past the fields and along the Upper River Derwent, before stepping into the working distillery to understand our paddock to bottle approach. Tastings are offered at the cellar door, with the opportunity to purchase directly from the Estate.
Lawrenny is regularly included in Tasmanian driving itineraries and is well suited to visitors seeking an authentic distillery experience as part of a broader Central Highlands or Derwent Valley journey.
